This page explains what information Westroot Measurement collects through this website, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We've kept it short and plain on purpose.
Who we are
Westroot Measurement provides independent measurement-software services. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email us at contactus@westrootmeasurement.com.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us. When you fill out the contact form, we receive:
- Your name
- Your company
- Your email address
- Your approximate meter count and what you're looking for, if you choose to add them
- Whatever you write in the message field
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers, or any other tracking technology. We don't build profiles on visitors. We don't have accounts or logins.
Our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services, which serves the site through Amazon CloudFront) may automatically process basic technical data such as your IP address in order to deliver the page to you. That's a standard part of how any website reaches your browser.
How your message reaches us
The contact form is handled by a third-party service called Web3Forms. When you submit the form, Web3Forms receives what you typed and forwards it to our email inbox, which is hosted on Google Workspace (Gmail). In plain terms: your message passes through Web3Forms on its way to us, and then it lives in our email. We'd encourage you to look at the privacy practices of those providers if that matters to you.
Why we use it
We use the information you send for one thing: to read your message and reply to it. If your note leads to a conversation about working together, we'll use your contact details to continue that conversation. We do not use it for anything else.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
- We don't share it with third parties except the providers above that help us receive and store your message.
- We don't send marketing emails or newsletters from this form.
How long we keep it
We keep your message and contact details for as long as we need them to respond and to keep reasonable records of who we've talked to. If you'd like us to delete your information, just ask and we will, unless we're required to keep it for a legitimate business or legal reason.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what information of yours we hold, correct it, or delete it. Email contactus@westrootmeasurement.com and we'll take care of it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local privacy laws — for example, residents of California, Colorado, and several other U.S. states have specific rights to access and delete their personal information. Whatever your location, the same email address above is how you reach us to exercise them, and we won't treat you differently for asking.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. That said, no method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please don't send anything highly sensitive through the contact form.
Children
This website is meant for business contacts and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Where we operate
We operate from the United States, and the information you send is processed and stored there. If you're contacting us from another country, you're sending your information to the United States.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll make that clear.
